As of today I am starting my 3rd year and I still can't get away from the cancellation fee. I have called each of the last 3 days and get a different story and to call the next day and the fee would be waved per the contract. Today they said them "system" does not recognize yet that it has been 2 years " but tomorrow it should". There is no other higher person you can talk to except for the supervisor. The corporate headquarters is nothing more than voicemail no matter what extension you try. It is a very well crafted machine to rip people off. They do have every possible scenario planned out and scripted. The best you can do is cancel your credit card. They will report you to the credit agency for the $39 cancel fee. You will just have to live with it or let them win and pay to get away from them. Its a brilliant scam.
