Here is an interesting take on the "macro" twitter world (taken from the twitter API for all of twitter) that maybe can help me compare / contrast what I see in my "micro" world (for example, where folks post from, average number of followers, tweets, etc). http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/10/05/twitter-data-analysis-an-investors-perspective/
