Just a quick introductory post for the Connectivism course. My name is Jennifer Maddrell and I live across the river from Manhattan in Hoboken, NJ (USA).

I am currently enrolled in a PhD program in Instructional Design & Technology at Old Dominion University. I am taking the program as a distance learner, so you could say I am practicing what I will one day teach about the possibilities of distance learning. For the past two years, I have also been a co-host on EdTechWeekly at EdTechTalk.com where we conduct a weekly webcast about current happenings in education and technology.

This is my second MOOC, but by far the largest. I also took David Wiley's Introduction to Open Education with many others from across the globe. I had taken that class "for credit", so it will be interesting to see how my participation varies when I take this class "non-credit". Looking forward to "connecting"!
