Anyone in the Chicago area is welcome to join the next Chicago Literacy Alliance Confab on May 15th from 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM CDT. These free monthly events focus on literacy-related issues and are hosted at the CLA’s Literacenter, the coworking space we share as CLA members.

This spring, we’ll be exploring the theme of Literacy Building through 21st Century Skills & Creative Voice with our third Confab on Literacy Preparation for the Workforce defined as education programs that develop literacy skills and successful entry into the workforce. Join us as we hear about great programs from member leaders Spark, Chinese Mutual Aid Association, Literature for All of Us, and Center for Companies That Care and welcome our keynote speaker, Amanda Cage, Chief Program Officer at Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership.
