As noted in the FAQ of the website, the OSF is maintained and developed by the Center for Open Science (COS), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and supported through various federal agencies, private foundations, and commercial entities.

We are moving our OER workflow there, pondering using it for my dissertation. Our scholarly services Librarian uses it. So far I like it from a user standpoint for team/project management!
