My buddy posted a link to Quill.org, a website with free writing and grammar activities. While Quill is marketed to K-12, it’s valuable for adult learners working to build their literacy skills. To that end, CrowdEd Learning will be sharing alignments to the College & Career Readiness Standards for over 500 lessons, activities, and assessments from Quill later this week.
Here is an overview of the tools and activities on the Quill.org website:
- Quill Connect: Helps students advance from fragmented and run-on sentences to complex and well-structured ones.
- Quill Lesson: Enables teachers to lead whole-class and small group writing instruction.
- Quill Diagnostics: Quickly determine which skills students need to work on with Quill’s diagnostics.
- Quill Proofreader: Teaches students editing skills by having them proofread passages.
