Private IM: Ajax IM

Through a link posted in the edtechtalk del.icio.us folder, I stumbled across Ajax IM – discussed and tested by NCS-Tech blog.
It looks like a promising way to set up a private IM network on your
own server. I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has tried it.
